Lucknow : The five-day Winter School on Expanding Research Horizons organized from December 9-13, 2024 at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow concluded on Friday. It covered topics such as Academic Writing and Getting Published, Generating Theory by deductive, Inductive, and abductive reasoning, writing Harvard Cases, Qualitative Research in the Digital Age, and the Use of AI in research among others. It was inaugurated on 9th December where Dr. Anubhav Mishra-Dean Research, Jaipuria, Lucknow welcomed the participants. Dr. Nripendra Rana, Professor, Queen’s Business School, Belfast, UK was the chief guest for the inaugural function.
This Winter School offered a unique and fundamental overview of teaching and research methods for all research scholars andacademicians. The objective of the five-day event was to provide a platform for doctoral scholars as well as academicians to have abetter understanding of different aspects of research methods and learn about new software and models to help their research.
The winter school was focused on crafting good research articles and publishing them in top journals thus helping the participants todevelop knowledge and skills to help them for paper publications and thesis writing. It also focussed on upholding ethics in the research.
The Winter School comprised several events including a studentResearch Paper Competition, a Paper Development Workshop, a 3-minute Thesis Pitch, etc. This collaborative platform encouraged networking, enhancing participants’ skills and knowledge, and shaping the future of education and research.

The event concluded with the valedictory session where Dr. Sudhir Rana, Associate Professor, at Gulf Medical University, UAE; gave the valedictory speech. The session concluded with Dr. Arti Chandani, FPM-Chair extending a Vote of thanks to all the participants.
