Prayagraj: In a significant spiritual visit, Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck arrived in Prayagraj on Tuesday, gracing the sacred grounds of the Triveni Sangam. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Bhutanese monarch took a holy dip in the revered confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, symbolizing faith and cultural solidarity.
Spiritual Sojourn at the Triveni Sangam
The Bhutanese King, alongside CM Yogi Adityanath, participated in ritualistic bathing at the Triveni Sangam, a site of immense spiritual significance in Hinduism. This sacred dip is believed to cleanse the soul and wash away sins, underscoring the King’s deep reverence for Indian spiritual traditions.
Visit to Akshayavat and Bade Hanuman Temple
Following the ceremonial bath, King Wangchuck and CM Yogi visited the Akshayavat, the eternal banyan tree known for its mythological importance. The duo then proceeded to the revered Bade Hanuman Temple, where the King offered prayers, immersing himself in devotional fervor.
Exploration of the Digital Maha Kumbh Experience Center
The royal entourage, including CM Yogi, later explored the Digital Maha Kumbh Experience Center situated near the Hanuman Temple. Here, they observed the grand and divine digital representations of the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025, showcasing technological advancements blending seamlessly with spiritual heritage.
Grand Welcome in Lucknow and Accompanying Dignitaries
Prior to his Prayagraj visit, King Wangchuck had arrived in Lucknow on Monday, where he received a warm welcome from CM Yogi Adityanath. During the King’s spiritual journey in the Mahakumbh city, notable dignitaries including Cabinet Ministers Swatantra Dev Singh and Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, along with Vishnuswami sect leader Jagadguru Santosh Das (Satua Baba), were present, highlighting the significance of the visit.
