Ratna Verma Appointed BJP Mahila Morcha State General Secretary

Gonda: BJP Mahila Morcha regional vice-president Ratna Verma has been appointed as the state minister of the BJP Mahila Morcha by the party’s Uttar Pradesh leadership. The announcement triggered congratulatory messages from BJP workers and members of affiliated organisations across Gonda.

Verma began her organisational journey with the women’s wing of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Durga Vahini, serving as divisional convener from 2002 to 2004. She joined the BJP as an active member in 2006 and subsequently worked with the district Mahila Morcha team.

In 2018, she was appointed regional minister of BJP Mahila Morcha in the Awadh region. In recognition of her organisational work, she was made regional vice-president of the Awadh region in 2021. She has now been given the responsibility of state minister in the BJP Mahila Morcha.

Verma comes from a family with an organisational association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Her late father-in-law, Ram Prasad Verma, served as a Sangh tehsil-level functionary and later worked with the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Her husband, Rakesh Verma Guddu, has served as a provincial convener of Bajrang Dal and is currently associated with the VHP Awadh provincial executive.

BJP district president Agrawal Bahadur Tiwari, former district president Ramakant Tiwari, Surya Narayan Tiwari, Arun Shukla, Rakesh Tiwari, Ranjit Baba, Vishnu Pratap Narayan Singh, Mahila Morcha district president Beena Rai, Madhubala Verma and several other party and organisational functionaries congratulated Ratna Verma on her appointment.
