Mumbai: ShemarooMe premiered its new Hindi thriller Missing Mahila on August 27, taking viewers into a gripping world of marriage, suspicion, mystery and deception. Starring Mitra Gadhvi and Isha Kansara, the series explored how trust can quickly turn into doubt when the behaviour of someone closest to you begins to feel unfamiliar.
Set against the backdrop of relationships that appear familiar yet conceal unexpected secrets, Missing Mahila followed a man who believed he had found his ideal life partner through an unusual marriage arrangement. What initially appeared to be a straightforward search for companionship soon took a mysterious turn, leaving him confronted with questions about the woman he thought he knew.
Blending suspense with the complexities of relationships, the series explored the uncertain space between trust and betrayal, where appearances can be misleading and the people closest to us may harbour the biggest secrets.
The series featured Mitra Gadhvi, Isha Kansara, Nakshraj, Hitesh Thakkar, Rahul Rawal, Jagjeetsinh Vadher and Dhairya Thakkar in key roles. It was directed by Vishal Vada Vala.
Talking about her character Sonal, Isha Kansara said she was drawn to the character because there was much more to her than what appeared on the surface. She found it particularly exciting to maintain an element of uncertainty and gradually reveal the character’s layers.
Mitra Gadhvi said he enjoyed the series because it constantly encouraged viewers to rethink what they had just seen. He described Bhavesh’s journey as particularly interesting because he does not initially set out to uncover a mystery; instead, the mystery unexpectedly becomes part of his life.
With Missing Mahila, ShemarooMe further strengthened its Hindi content offering with a relationship-driven thriller rooted in an Indian setting.
