Bhatkhande Sanskriti University Promotes Health Awareness and Cleanliness Ahead of 16th Convocation

Lucknow: Bhatkhande Sanskriti University, Lucknow, has organised a series of public welfare and awareness programmes ahead of its 16th Convocation Ceremony, in line with directives issued by Jan Bhavan, Uttar Pradesh. The initiatives focused on women’s health, preventive healthcare, cleanliness and environmental awareness, reflecting the university’s commitment to holistic student development.

As part of the “Mother-Daughter Conference” initiative, the university conducted a health awareness programme for female students. Around 20 students underwent blood tests at the Urban Community Health Centre, Red Cross, Kaiserbagh, Lucknow. The students were escorted to the health centre under the supervision of guest faculty members Dr. Kritika Tripathi and Dr. Kajal Ojha.

The university said the test reports will be shared with the students’ mothers to encourage greater awareness of family health and preventive healthcare. The participating students have also been invited to attend the convocation ceremony along with their mothers to formally participate in the Mother-Daughter Conference.

The programme aimed to promote regular health check-ups and encourage students to adopt preventive healthcare practices. Medical experts also interacted with the participants, providing valuable guidance on maintaining good health and overall well-being.

In addition to the health initiative, the university carried out a comprehensive cleanliness drive across the campus to promote hygiene and environmental responsibility. Faculty members, administrative staff and students enthusiastically participated in cleaning classrooms, offices, open spaces and other areas of the campus, while taking a collective pledge to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mandavi Singh said that cleanliness and health awareness are fundamental to building a responsible and progressive society. She noted that such initiatives help instil discipline, civic responsibility and social awareness among students, adding that the university remains committed to organising programmes that contribute to public welfare.

Registrar S. P. Singh said the activities, conducted in accordance with the directives of Jan Bhavan, Uttar Pradesh, would contribute to students’ overall development while reinforcing the importance of hygiene and environmental consciousness. He added that the university intends to continue organising similar awareness campaigns in the future.

Convocation Coordinator Prof. Srishti Mathur stated that all programmes associated with the 16th Convocation are being conducted in a systematic manner as per the prescribed schedule, ensuring smooth implementation of the various outreach and awareness initiatives.
