Approval for regularization of building maps approved by District Panchayats in Development Authority Areas

SOP to be formulated for map approvals in areas without a Master Plan

Lucknow: The Yogi Cabinet has approved a proposal for the regularization of building maps previously sanctioned by District Panchayats within Development Authority areas. The Cabinet has also approved the formulation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for granting map approvals in development areas, extended development areas, and regulated areas where a master plan has not yet been prepared.

This decision will resolve a significant administrative and developmental issue that has remained pending for a long time.

Questions regarding the validity of building maps approved earlier by District Panchayats in Development Authority areas will now be addressed through the process of regularization.

This will provide substantial relief to citizens, landowners, and builders.

According to the Cabinet decision, a clear and standardized procedure will be established for approving building maps in development areas, extended development areas, and regulated areas where master plans have not yet been finalized.

This will ensure that construction activities in such regions receive approvals in accordance with regulations and will eliminate uncertainty surrounding the approval process.

The state government has clarified that implementing this SOP will not impose any additional financial burden on the government.

At the same time, it will promote planned and orderly urban development while enhancing transparency and ease in construction-related activities across urban areas.
