Sony SAB Artists Share Heartfelt Reflections on Parents and Family Bonds on Global Parents Day

Mumbai: On the occasion of Global Parents Day, actors from Sony SAB opened up about the invaluable lessons, unconditional support and emotional strength they have received from their parents over the years. From childhood memories to life-changing guidance, the artists shared how their families continue to shape their personal and professional journeys.

The actors reflected on the quiet sacrifices parents make, the emotional security they provide, and the values that remain deeply rooted even amidst demanding careers and busy schedules.

Iqbal Khan, who plays Dr. Dev in Yaadein, spoke about how becoming a parent himself transformed his perspective on family and relationships.

“Becoming a parent changes you in ways you never expect,” he said. “Earlier, I used to think parenting was about providing and protecting, but it’s really about being present. My daughters have made me softer, more patient and emotionally aware. At the same time, it has made me appreciate my own parents even more because now I understand the countless things they did for us without expecting anything in return.”

Gulki Joshi, who portrays Dr. Srishty Agarwal in Yaadein, highlighted the emotional reassurance that parents bring during challenging times.

“No matter how old we grow, there’s something incredibly comforting about knowing your parents are always there for you,” she shared. “My parents taught me honesty, discipline and the importance of staying grounded. In an industry that constantly challenges you emotionally and mentally, their support gives me strength and balance.”

Muskan Bamne, who plays Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible, recalled moving from Itarsi to Mumbai at a young age to pursue her acting dreams.

“Coming to Mumbai was a huge step, and I don’t think I could have done it without my parents’ trust and support,” she said. “Being away from home makes you appreciate the little things parents do every single day. Their encouragement still gives me strength whenever life feels overwhelming.”

Actor Samridh Bawa, who essays the role of Ashwin in Pushpa Impossible, also reflected on the confidence and emotional stability his parents have given him over the years.

“Parents have this beautiful ability to make everything feel okay even when life feels uncertain,” he said. “Their belief in me has given me confidence at every stage of life, and I still seek their advice before making important decisions.”

The artists’ reflections offered a heartfelt tribute to the enduring role parents play in shaping values, resilience and emotional well-being, making Global Parents Day a celebration not just of family bonds, but of gratitude and unconditional love.
