PM Modi Distributes Appointment Letters to Over 51,000 Newly Recruited Youth at Rozgar Mela

Union Minister B.L. Verma Hands Over Appointment Letters to 312 Candidates in Lucknow

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters to more than 51,000 newly recruited candidates during the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela through video conferencing, reaffirming the government’s commitment to employment generation across the country.

As part of the nationwide initiative, a special programme was organised at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, where Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution B. L. Verma handed over appointment letters to 312 selected candidates.

Out of the total appointees in Lucknow, 198 candidates joined the Indian Railways, while others were recruited into various central government departments and organisations.

The Rozgar Mela initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s focus on accelerating employment opportunities and strengthening the recruitment process across government sectors. Since the launch of the initiative, approximately 12 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through 18 Rozgar Melas conducted across the country.

The 19th Rozgar Mela was organised simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide. Newly appointed candidates selected from different parts of India will join various ministries and departments of the Government of India, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Department of Higher Education, among others.

The programme highlighted the government’s continued emphasis on transparent and time-bound recruitment while creating employment opportunities for the country’s youth.
