District Magistrate Extends Immediate Help to Child Suffering from Kidney Disease During Public Hearing

Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh displayed a compassionate and proactive approach during the public grievance hearing programme held at the Collectorate office in Bareilly.

During the Jan Sunwai (public hearing), a woman arrived with her seriously ill child and informed the District Magistrate that both kidneys of the child had failed. She said the child was undergoing treatment at a hospital near Chauki Chauraha, but due to the family’s weak financial condition, she had come to the Collectorate seeking assistance in getting an Ayushman card made for medical support.

Taking immediate cognisance of the matter, the District Magistrate arranged a tempo from outside, as it was being observed as “No Vehicle Day,” and ensured that the woman and her child were sent to the district hospital without delay. He also instructed concerned officials to provide the child with the best possible medical treatment and assured the family of all necessary support.

In another incident at the District Magistrate’s office, a man who had come to meet the official suddenly lost consciousness. Acting swiftly, the District Magistrate personally tried to revive him by providing water and immediate assistance before arranging for him to be taken to the district hospital for medical examination. He also accompanied the man to the hospital to ensure proper care and treatment.

According to the Chief Medical Officer, the individual was healthy and had fainted due to excessive heat and exhaustion. The District Magistrate directed hospital authorities to ensure proper treatment and care for both patients.

The humanitarian response by the district administration during the public hearing programme has been widely appreciated by those present.
