Lucknow: Lucknow Bioscope hosted the sixth edition of its Museum Mixer on Saturday, May 16, themed ‘The Empathy Archive: an evening of stories, emotions, and feminist play’. The event was held at 130, JC Bose Road, Qaiser Bagh in Lucknow and featured sessions led by Alisha Asif and Harshi Lal.
The evening brought together participants for an engaging and reflective experience centred on empathy, gender conversations, storytelling and interactive learning. The programme included discussions, games, film screenings and participatory activities designed to encourage dialogue and emotional connection.
Speaking about the idea behind the event, Harshi Lal said, “A big part of believing in equality is empathy,” underlining the role of understanding and compassion in creating inclusive spaces.
As part of the event, three animated short films were screened, each followed by interactive discussions. Umbrella explored themes such as sharing, migration, homelessness and desire. Alike focused on creativity versus conformity and the relationship between the natural and manmade world, while The Present sparked conversations around disability, outdoor play, aggression and care.

The evening concluded with a lively quiz competition based on prominent women from across the world, adding an energetic and participatory finish to the programme.
Alisha Asif, a development sector professional, is also the curator of the exhibition Feminists of Awadh par Salaam, while Harshi Lal, a designer by profession, conceptualised and designed the exhibition.
