Lucknow: Under the ongoing “Mission Shakti 5.0” campaign, Lucknow Police Commissionerate organised a special awareness programme at an upper primary school in Banthra to educate students and women about safety, cybercrime prevention, legal rights, and emergency support services.

The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amrendra Kumar Sengar as part of the broader mission aimed at promoting women’s safety, empowerment, and awareness across all police station areas in Lucknow.

Officials stated that Mission Shakti Centres have already been established in all 54 police stations under the Lucknow Commissionerate, with dedicated officers including inspectors, additional inspectors, sub-inspectors, and women sub-inspectors deployed to ensure prompt redressal of issues related to women.

The awareness programme at the Banthra upper primary school focused on educating girl students and women about crimes against women, cybercrime, traffic rules, and personal safety measures.

During the session, participants were informed about legal rights, methods to prevent cyber fraud, and the use of digital tools such as the CEIR portal and the UP Cop mobile application. Police officials also explained the importance of emergency helpline numbers, including 1090 (Women Power Line), 112 (Emergency Response), 108 (Ambulance), 1098 (Childline), and 1076 (Toll-Free Helpline).
