Avaada Group’s ‘Bharat Uday Yatra’ Reaches Lucknow to Promote Clean Energy Awareness

Lucknow: As part of a nationwide campaign to encourage the adoption of renewable energy and sustainable living, Avaada Group brought its “Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra” to Lucknow, aiming to spread awareness about clean energy solutions and environmentally responsible lifestyles among citizens, students, and institutions.

The yatra, which commenced from the company’s Noida office on May 8, is travelling across the country as a large-scale public outreach initiative focused on strengthening awareness about renewable energy at the grassroots level. Through the campaign, the company seeks to inspire people to embrace cleaner and more sustainable sources of energy, contributing to a greener and more self-reliant India.

During its Lucknow stop, the campaign received an enthusiastic response from local residents, educational institutions, and youth participants, reflecting growing public interest in renewable energy alternatives such as solar, wind, and hydropower.

Speaking on the occasion, Vineet Mittal emphasized the importance of transitioning towards natural and sustainable energy sources. He said that reducing dependence on external energy resources and increasing domestic clean energy production is essential for the nation’s long-term security and development.

He added that the “Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra” aims to take the message of clean energy to every household and transform the movement into a people-driven mission rather than just a corporate campaign.

Several interactive activities were organized during the Lucknow leg of the yatra, including street plays explaining the concept of clean energy in a simple and engaging manner, awareness sessions addressing misconceptions surrounding renewable energy, and opportunities for citizens to take a digital green pledge encouraging sustainable practices in daily life.

The specially designed campaign includes two awareness vans that will travel across 27 cities in nine states over a period of 35 days, carrying the message of sustainability and clean energy adoption to communities across India.

Officials said Avaada Group currently has a renewable energy portfolio exceeding 17.7 GWp, underlining its growing presence in the clean energy sector. The group’s solar manufacturing arm, Avaada Electro, has a total solar module manufacturing capacity of 8.5 gigawatts, including its advanced giga factory in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, which produces next-generation N-Type TOPCon solar modules.

The company’s CSR arm, Avaada Foundation, is also engaged in several social welfare initiatives, including rebuilding schools in rural Uttar Pradesh, supporting education and digital literacy in tribal villages of Sonbhadra, promoting healthcare and community development, and running women empowerment programmes through community development centres.

The foundation has also undertaken large-scale plantation drives using the Miyawaki technique, contributing to long-term environmental sustainability and community welfare initiatives across the region.
