Bareilly DM Inspects Inter-State Police Checkpost at Baheri-Uttarakhand Border, Reviews Security Arrangements

Barerilly: Bareilly DM Avinash Singh conducted an inspection of the inter-state police checkpost at Baheri on the Uttarakhand border to review security measures and arrangements related to movement monitoring and law enforcement.

During the visit, the District Magistrate assessed the functioning of the police checkpoint and examined the infrastructure and facilities available for personnel deployed at the border point.

Officials said the District Magistrate observed that adequate arrangements for seating and basic amenities for checkpost personnel were lacking. Taking serious note of the issue, he directed authorities to ensure proper construction and development of the checkpoint infrastructure.

He instructed officials to establish suitable facilities including seating arrangements, toilets, and other essential amenities for security personnel stationed at the post. Avinash Singh also assured that the required funds for the development of the checkpost infrastructure would be provided from the administration’s side.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate instructed police and administrative officials to maintain strict vigilance in the border area and intensify monitoring of suspicious activities. He also directed officials to ensure regular and thorough checking of vehicles passing through the checkpoint.

The administration further emphasised the need to strengthen law and order in the border region, maintain close coordination among departments, and ensure public safety through effective enforcement measures.

Officials accompanying the District Magistrate during the inspection included Ishita Kishore, the Baheri Tehsildar, and other police and administrative personnel.
