Lucknow Police Conduct Awareness Drive Under Mission Shakti 5.0 at School

Lucknow: The Lucknow Police Commissionerate organized a special awareness program under Mission Shakti 5.0 at Bal Nikunj English School, Paltan Chhawani, Madiyanv, focusing on child safety and women empowerment.

The initiative is part of Mission Shakti, a flagship campaign of Uttar Pradesh Police aimed at ensuring the safety and empowerment of women and children through large-scale awareness activities.

The program was conducted by Sub-Inspector Arju Prajapati and Constable Ankita Rai of Madiyanv Police Station, with participation from Sub-Inspector Rafatullah and Constable Divya Shukla, along with students and teachers of the school.

During the session, students—especially girls—were educated about personal safety, cyber fraud awareness, and the concepts of “good touch and bad touch.” The police team also explained the role and functions of Women Safety Centres and Help Desks established at police stations.

Participants were informed about various government welfare schemes for women and children. The team also shared important emergency helpline numbers, including 1076 (CM Helpline), 112 (Police), 108 (Ambulance), 1098 (Child Helpline), 181 (Women Helpline), 1090 (Women Power Line), and 1930 (Cyber Helpline), and distributed pamphlets for easy reference.

Officials emphasized the importance of staying vigilant against cyber fraud and encouraged students to report any suspicious activity immediately.

The Lucknow Police stated that such awareness programs are a significant step toward ensuring child safety and creating a secure environment. Through Mission Shakti 5.0, the Commissionerate continues its efforts to build a society where women and children feel empowered, informed, and safe.
