Bareilly: A meeting of the District Health Committee and Communicable Disease Control Campaign was held at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Avinash Singh.
During the review, the District Magistrate directed officials to accelerate the creation of Ayushman cards in blocks and tehsils where progress has been slow. He also expressed concern over delays in payments to ASHA and ANM workers and instructed authorities to resolve the issue promptly.
The progress of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) ID generation in urban areas was found to be unsatisfactory. The District Magistrate instructed that a meeting be convened with all Medical Officers In-Charge (MOICs) to address the gaps and improve performance.
Focusing on the ongoing communicable disease control campaign, strict directions were issued to prevent any rise in malaria and other seasonal diseases. Special emphasis was laid on rural areas, with the District Panchayati Raj Officer being instructed to ensure regular fogging operations.
The Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vishram Singh was directed to intensify awareness campaigns to educate the public on mosquito-borne disease prevention. Additionally, instructions were given to take disciplinary action against ASHA workers who fail to perform effectively under the campaign.

Under the “Dastak Campaign,” ASHA workers along with Anganwadi staff have been directed to conduct door-to-door visits to identify and prevent disease outbreaks. The District Basic Education Officer was also instructed to encourage parents to ensure that children wear full-sleeve clothing as a preventive measure.
The District Magistrate further directed the CMO to take strict action against Community Health Officers (CHOs) found frequently absent from CHCs and PHCs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, medals were distributed to patients who had successfully recovered under the National Child Health Programme, recognising their treatment and recovery.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the District Panchayati Raj Officer Kamal Kishore, District Inspector of Schools, District Basic Education Officer, and doctors from all CHCs and PHCs.
