Bareilly: A self-defense workshop was organized at the Government Women Shelter in Bareilly under the second phase of Mission Shakti 5.0, aimed at empowering adolescent girls with essential safety skills.
The programme was conducted as per the directions of District Magistrate Avinash Singh and in the presence of District Probation Officer Monika Rana.
Training for Safety and Awareness
During the workshop, adolescent girls were trained in basic self-defense techniques to help them protect themselves in challenging situations. The session focused on building confidence, awareness, and preparedness among participants.
Officials also provided detailed information about women safety mechanisms, including the services offered by the One Stop Centre and important emergency helpline numbers such as 181, 112, 1098, 1090, 108, and 1076.

Key Participation
The programme was attended by Chhaya Barbal, Chanchal Gangwar, Harvinder Kaur, and Sharin, who contributed to the successful आयोजन of the workshop.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts under Mission Shakti to strengthen women’s safety, awareness, and empowerment at the grassroots level.
