State Bank Organizes Pensioners’ Meet in Lucknow

Lucknow – The State Bank of India (SBI) Lucknow Circle organized a Pensioners’ Meet at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Convention Center, bringing together retired officials and employees of the bank for interaction and discussion.

The event was attended by General Manager Anil Kumar as the chief guest. Other prominent participants included organization president Dinesh Chandra, general secretary Atul Swarup, circle president G.S. Bhandari, circle secretary Sanjeev Agrawal, divisional development officer Dhirendra Mahe, and deputy general manager Dheeraj Kumar, along with several senior bank officials.

The program began with a traditional Ganesh Vandana. Deputy General Manager Dheeraj Kumar welcomed the guests by presenting shawls and assured pensioners that they could approach him whenever assistance was needed. Addressing the gathering, General Manager Anil Kumar emphasized that the growth and success of the bank would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of its former officers and employees. He also assured participants that the management remains committed to resolving pensioners’ issues promptly.

During the meeting, General Secretary Atul Swarup urged the bank to establish dispensaries and ensure the availability of doctors at all Regional Business Office centers. He also encouraged pensioners to take advantage of the bank’s welfare initiatives, particularly the health insurance scheme under Policy “B.”

Divisional Development Officer Dhirendra Mahe reaffirmed that the bank is committed to safeguarding the interests of its retired staff. Circle Secretary Sanjeev Agrawal expressed gratitude to all attendees for their participation.

In the second session, the pensioners’ general assembly reviewed the organization’s activities over the past year. The general secretary presented a report of the work done and proposed approval of the financial statement for the year 2024–25, which was passed unanimously by voice vote. President Dinesh Chandra thanked the members and encouraged pensioners who are not yet associated with the organization to join it so that their concerns can be addressed more effectively.

According to media coordinator Anil Tiwari, pensioners above the age of 75 were specially honored during the event with garlands, ceremonial shawls, and mementos in recognition of their contribution to the bank.
