Bareilly: More than 32,000 candidates will appear for the upcoming Sub-Inspector recruitment examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on March 14 and 15 across multiple centres in Bareilly.
Preparations for the smooth conduct of the examination were reviewed in a meeting held at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Avinash Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya.
Officials informed that the examination will be conducted at 19 centres in the district, with a total of 32,640 candidates scheduled to participate over the two days. To ensure transparency and security, CCTV cameras have been installed at all centres, and adequate police personnel will be deployed.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts each day. The first shift will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, while the second shift will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Approximately 8,160 candidates will appear in each shift.
For effective monitoring and management, control rooms have been established at every examination centre. The administration has deployed 19 sector magistrates, four reserve sector magistrates, 19 static magistrates and four reserve static magistrates. Additionally, zonal magistrates will also be on duty to maintain law and order around the centres.
During the meeting, District Magistrate Avinash Singh directed all officials to perform their assigned duties responsibly and ensure that the examination is conducted with complete fairness, transparency and discipline. He instructed officials to reach their duty locations on time and strictly follow the guidelines issued by the recruitment board. All examination centres will be monitored from Lucknow to maintain strict oversight.

Special arrangements will also be made for female candidates, including proper enclosures for frisking during entry. The district administration emphasised the importance of teamwork and vigilance to avoid any lapses during the examination.
Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya also instructed officers to remain alert and ensure that no impersonation occurs during the exam. He urged officials to strictly follow the standard operating procedures and ensure the examination is conducted in a peaceful environment.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (City) Saurabh Dubey, Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Mohammad Akmal Khan, along with centre superintendents, sector and static magistrates, police officers and other concerned officials.
