Lucknow Traders Celebrate Holi with Colours, Music and Unity

Lucknow: Traders of the Lucknow Vyapar Mandal in Ganeshganj celebrated the festival of Holi with great enthusiasm, applying fragrant gulal and greeting each other warmly amid the beats of drums and popular Bollywood songs.

On the occasion, the traders organized a vibrant Holi Milan event where participants embraced one another and exchanged festive wishes. Special arrangements were made for the traders of the area, including stalls serving a variety of delicious dishes and traditional kesariya thandai, adding to the festive spirit.

The celebration was led by Ganeshganj Lucknow Vyapar Mandal president Ashok Motiyani, general secretary Balram Maurya, and treasurer Anup Gupta. Several traders including K.C. Pandey, Sushil Gupta, Manoj Kesarwani, Sunil Kumar Gupta, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Naresh Motiyani, Shailendra Maurya, Deepak Laungani, and Mannu Badlani participated in the festivities and applied scented gulal and perfume while exchanging greetings.

At City Plaza Caps, traders danced energetically to the beats of dhol and performed bhangra, celebrating the festival in a joyous atmosphere. The gathering also conveyed a message of unity and brotherhood among members of the trading community.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Motiyani and Balram Maurya jointly said that Holi is a sacred festival that encourages people to forget past differences and strengthen bonds of togetherness. They added that the Holi Milan ceremony has been celebrated with enthusiasm by the traders of Ganeshganj for many years, symbolizing harmony and collective spirit within the business community.

Earlier, during Holika Dahan, traders also offered prayers for the prosperity, peace, and well-being of the nation.
