Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday warned officials that any laxity in resolving public grievances is “unforgivable”, stressing that people’s problems must be addressed promptly, sensitively and transparently.
The Chief Minister was interacting with citizens during the regular “Janata Darshan” programme held at the Gorakhnath Temple complex in Gorakhpur. A day after celebrating Holi festivities with the public, he met residents from different districts and personally listened to their grievances.
The interaction took place in front of the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan within the temple premises. Walking among the people seated there, the Chief Minister met nearly 150 individuals, patiently hearing their concerns and assuring them that justice would be ensured in every case.
Directing officials to act swiftly, the Chief Minister said the resolution of public grievances is a top priority for the government. He emphasized that every complaint must be addressed with quality, transparency and a satisfactory outcome. “Any negligence or delay in resolving people’s issues will not be tolerated,” he told the officials.

Several citizens approached the Chief Minister seeking financial assistance for medical treatment. Responding to their requests, he assured them that the government would extend full support. He instructed officials to expedite the preparation of medical estimates and forward them to the government so that financial aid could be released without delay.
The Chief Minister also issued strict instructions against illegal land encroachments. He directed authorities to ensure that no injustice is done to any citizen and warned that those who unlawfully occupy land or attempt to displace vulnerable individuals must face strict legal action.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to public welfare, the Chief Minister said the administration is determined to ensure that every aggrieved person receives timely assistance and justice.
