MJPRU Research Scholar Ravi Kumar Secures All India Rank 149 in CSIR-JRF

Bareilly: In a proud achievement for Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, PhD research scholar Ravi Kumar from the Department of Plant Science has secured All India Rank 149 in the prestigious CSIR-JRF examination. The accomplishment has brought a wave of celebration across the university and the department.

Ravi Kumar is currently pursuing his doctoral research in bioremediation of mercury pollution. His research focuses on using biological methods to neutralize and control toxic heavy metals present in the environment. The study holds significant importance in the fields of environmental protection and public health, as mercury contamination poses serious ecological and health risks.

Congratulating Ravi on his success, Head of the Department Prof. Alok Srivastava, along with Prof. Sanjay Kumar Garg, Prof. J.N. Maurya, and Dr. Vijay Kumar Sinha, stated that this achievement reflects the department’s strong research-oriented culture and the dedication of its scholars. They expressed confidence that Ravi will continue to excel in high-quality research and further enhance the institution’s reputation.

Ravi’s PhD supervisor, Dr. Pankaj Arora, also extended his congratulations, describing the success as a result of Ravi’s dedication, discipline, and scientific approach. He noted that Ravi’s research has the potential to make a meaningful contribution toward reducing environmental toxicity.
