Lucknow: In a vibrant celebration of sport, camaraderie and competitive spirit, the “Door Bhai Cup” Golf Tournament was successfully organised under the aegis of Sushant Golf City at the prestigious The Palms Golf Club. The event brought together members of the architect community for a day of precision, performance and sportsmanship on the greens.
A total of 25 players participated in the tournament, showcasing remarkable enthusiasm and competitive zeal. The tournament was meticulously organised by Ashok Kumar and Rahul Suri, whose planning and coordination ensured the seamless execution of the event. From course arrangements to player coordination and hospitality, every detail reflected thoughtful preparation.
The competition witnessed spirited performances across categories. In the Men’s Division, Yogesh Tyagi emerged as the Winner with an impressive display of skill and consistency, while R. P. Shahi secured the Runner-up position. In the Women’s Division, Diksha Patel clinched the Winner’s title, and Avitesh Vaishnavi Singh finished as Runner-up after a commendable performance.
Demonstrating exceptional overall excellence, Mr. Yogesh Tyagi was declared the Overall Winner of the “Door Bhai Cup,” marking a standout achievement in the tournament.

Several special awards added excitement to the competition. S. K. Singh (IAS, Retd.) claimed the Longest Drive award on Hole No. 5 with a powerful stroke, while Rishi Duggal impressed with his Monster Drive on Hole No. 8. R. P. Shahi earned the Nearest to the Pin award on Hole No. 3, and Yogesh Bajpai secured the Straightest Drive title on Hole No. 1. Adding a touch of elegance to the event, Prashant Reddy was recognised as Best Dressed (Men), and Avitesh Vaishnavi Singh received the Best Dressed (Women) award.
The tournament was graced by Chief Guests Colonel A. K. Singh and Braj Bhan, who felicitated the winners and participants with trophies and accolades. Addressing the gathering, S. K. Singh (IAS, Retd.) encouraged players to continue embracing golf as a sport that fosters discipline, focus and fellowship. He congratulated all winners and appreciated the organisers for hosting a well-coordinated and enjoyable tournament.
Throughout the day, the atmosphere at The Palms Golf Club remained energetic and cordial. Participants not only competed fiercely but also shared moments of interaction and mutual appreciation, reflecting the true spirit of the game.
