Lucknow — Ahead of the holy festival of Maha Shivratri, the Awadh Ladies Club organised a soulful Shiv Bhajan Sandhya, creating an atmosphere of devotion and cultural harmony. The programme began with Jyoti Kaul recalling the club’s rich journey since 1978 and paying tribute to the contributions of late women members. The event saw the presence of Pratima Bajpai, Reena Singh, Geeta Khanna, Rekha Agrawal and Jyoti Kaul on the dais.
The programme was conducted by Dr Sarojini, who praised the collective efforts of the club’s members. A series of devotional bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva were presented by Indu Saraswat, Rama Gupta, Anjali Singh, Aruna Upadhyay, Madhu, Veena Saxena, Madhu Srivastava, Chitra Srivastava, Deveshwari Panwar, Rekha Mittal, Roli Agrawal, Ragini Agrawal, Sarita Agrawal, Rani Narayan and Kavita Singh.
The evening concluded with the recitation of Shiv Rudrashtak by Mridula and a devotional dance finale by Vimal Pant, leaving the audience spiritually enriched.
