Lucknow: Emphasising the power of self-belief and inner strength, Swami Muktinathanand, President of Ramakrishna Math, Lucknow, called upon the youth to draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda to achieve excellence in life. He was addressing young achievers at a programme organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Vivekananda Branch, on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s 163rd birth anniversary.
Speaking as the chief guest at the Distinguished Young Social Workers Felicitation Ceremony, held at a hotel in Ashiyana, Swami Muktinathanand said that history bears testimony to the fact that the awakening of youth power has made even impossible tasks achievable. “Those who recognised their inner potential reached the highest peaks of success. Today’s youth trusts Google more than themselves, which is why imbibing Swami Vivekananda’s wisdom and life lessons is more relevant than ever,” he remarked.

Highlighting Swami Vivekananda’s long association with Bharat Vikas Parishad, he shared three guiding mantras for the youth—be faithful (Shraddhavan), be courageous (Veer), and attain self-knowledge (Atma Gyan)—stating that these principles are essential for personal and social growth in today’s times.
The programme witnessed participation from all branches of Bharat Vikas Parishad. On the occasion, several young individuals were honoured for their outstanding contributions to social service. Those felicitated included Dr. Surabhi, Nidhi, Dr. Satyam, Sangeeta, Sarita, Preeti Mishra, Adityanath, Aparna Verma, and Prasoon Gupta, among others.

The event was attended by Kaushik Banerjee, Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad; Dr. Vipin Agrawal, President; Ramesh Agrawal, Programme Convenor; along with other office bearers and members of the council.
The ceremony served as a reminder of Swami Vivekananda’s enduring message that empowered and value-driven youth are the cornerstone of a strong and progressive nation.
