Medanta Lucknow and RED Health Celebrate One Year of Pioneering Emergency Care Partnership

Partnership Reaches 4,000+ Patients, Achieves 150% Growth in Inbound Emergency Cases

Lucknow: Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, in collaboration with RED Health—Asia’s only JCI-accredited and India’s largest emergency medical response platform—marked the first anniversary of their transformative partnership aimed at enhancing emergency and critical care services across the region. Over the past year, this collaboration has assisted more than 4,000 patients, providing long-distance medical transfers both within Lucknow and from neighbouring districts. Emergency care was delivered via road, air, and train ambulances, depending on the urgency and requirements of each case.

The deployment of 5G-enabled ambulances has been a game-changer, supporting over 170 critical patient cases by allowing doctors to guide treatment in real-time during transit. This technology ensures patients receive expert care during the critical “golden hour,” increasing chances of survival in life-threatening situations.

A substantial portion of cases handled through this partnership involved acute medical emergencies such as fever (561 cases), chest pain (182), high blood sugar (139), and shortness of breath (74), requiring rapid response and immediate clinical intervention. RED Health and Medanta have expanded the emergency ecosystem by offering ALS ambulances, NICU ambulances, train ambulances, and air ambulances, significantly improving coverage and patient satisfaction.

Dr. Lokendra Gupta, Director of the ER at Medanta Lucknow, said, “This one-year milestone highlights our progress in delivering timely, efficient, and compassionate emergency care. Advanced ambulances and technology-led services have allowed us to reach patients beyond the city, strengthening the trust families place in Medanta during critical moments. We look forward to continuing this collaboration to ensure every patient receives prompt care.”

Prabhdeep Singh, Founder and CEO of RED Health, added, “Emergencies are a race against time. Our integration of 5G technology into ambulances ensures critical decisions are made en route. Combining this with skilled paramedics and a hospital partner like Medanta creates a seamless continuum of ICU-level care from the patient’s doorstep to the hospital.”

The anniversary celebration reflected a year of measurable impact in emergency healthcare, setting a robust model for patient-centric emergency services in North India. Present on the occasion were Harshit Jaiswal, City Head, RED Health, and Alisha Mukhija from Medanta Lucknow. Both organizations remain committed to scaling this partnership to reach more regions and serve more patients in the future.
