Lucknow: The valour and supreme sacrifice of Veerangana Uda Devi Pasi were honoured with the unveiling of her grand statue at Pasi Chauraha in Vrindavan Yojana Sector–19, Sarojininagar. The ceremony, organised to mark Uda Devi Balidan Diwas, drew significant public attention as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath graced the event as chief guests.
Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh welcomed both dignitaries with great warmth, presenting them with mementoes before the official unveiling of the statue. The programme highlighted Uda Devi Pasi’s historic role in the freedom struggle and celebrated her enduring legacy among the Pasi community and the state at large.
A particularly notable moment came during an informal exchange between Dr. Rajeshwar Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Their light-hearted, friendly gestures and shared smiles offered a rare glimpse of camaraderie, drawing the attention of the crowd and becoming one of the highlights of the day’s proceedings.
