Jamshedpur: Škoda Auto India has expanded its Slavia Monte Carlo lineup with the introduction of two exclusive dual-tone exterior colour options—Shimla Green and Steel Grey—offering customers greater exclusivity and a more distinctive premium sedan experience.
The special edition colour variants will be limited to just 200 units and will be available in 1.0 TSI Automatic and 1.5 TSI DSG variants. The new additions further enhance the sporty appeal of the Slavia Monte Carlo while celebrating the brand’s rich Monte Carlo rally heritage.
Commenting on the launch, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said the Slavia Monte Carlo has received an enthusiastic response from customers for its distinctive styling, premium appeal, engaging driving dynamics and strong connection to the company’s motorsport legacy. He added that the new colour options reinforce the Monte Carlo identity by offering buyers greater exclusivity while continuing to blend style, performance and modern design.
Apart from the new paint finishes, the Slavia Monte Carlo retains its signature blacked-out exterior styling, Monte Carlo design elements, premium black-and-red interior theme, and a feature-rich cabin that distinguishes it within the Slavia range.
The sedan continues to be powered by Škoda’s proven TSI petrol engines paired with automatic transmissions. Customers can choose between a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic, or the more powerful 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The 1.5 TSI engine also features Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), making it the only engine in its segment with the fuel-saving system. Under light driving conditions, the technology automatically deactivates two cylinders to improve fuel efficiency. The engine also incorporates plasma-coated cylinder liners to enhance thermal efficiency and overall performance.
The Monte Carlo badge pays tribute to Škoda Auto’s long-standing association with the prestigious Monte Carlo Rally, dating back to 1912, and reflects more than a century of motorsport heritage.
The company’s performance-focused portfolio—including the Slavia Monte Carlo, Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq, and the limited-edition Octavia RS—recently earned recognition in both the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records for completing the fastest multi-car relay by a single manufacturer on a circuit. The five-car relay recorded a combined lap time of 12 minutes 30.97 seconds at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore, including driver changeovers.
With the introduction of the limited-run Shimla Green and Steel Grey editions, Škoda Auto India continues to strengthen the Slavia Monte Carlo’s position as a premium performance-oriented sedan, combining distinctive styling, advanced engineering and the brand’s celebrated racing pedigree.
