450 Young Archers to Compete Across Three Categories
Barabanki: The prestigious 10th Sub-Junior State Archery Championship is set to begin at Lucknow’s iconic KD Singh Babu Stadium from November 6 to 9, 2025, bringing together a vibrant assembly of young archers from across Uttar Pradesh. Around 450 boys and girls from various districts will participate in the four-day sporting event.
The competition will feature matches in Indian Round, Recurve, and Compound categories, offering young talents an opportunity to showcase their precision, skill, and determination. The event is being organized by the District Archery Association, Barabanki, which has completed all necessary preparations.
The inaugural ceremony will take place on November 7, with Avnish Awasthi, Advisor to the Chief Minister, serving as the chief guest. District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi and Superintendent of Police Arpit Vijayvargiya will be the special guests, while Ajay Gupta, General Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Archery Association, will preside over the event.

The championship will be directed by Balram Krishna Yadav and Ved Kumar, who have been entrusted with managing the competitions. According to Kapil Verma, Secretary of the District Archery Association, all arrangements have been finalized to ensure a smooth and successful tournament.
This state-level meet promises to be a celebration of young sporting talent, precision, and teamwork — truly a festival of archery at the KD Singh Babu Stadium.
