Abu Dhabi – Union Minister of Commerce Piyush Goyal visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, describing the temple as a remarkable symbol of architectural brilliance and spiritual beauty.
Sharing his experience on X, Minister Goyal said, “I visited Abu Dhabi’s majestic BAPS Hindu Mandir, a symbol of architectural brilliance and spiritual beauty. It celebrates common ideals of peace and tradition and stands as a proud monument to the cultural connection between India and the United Arab Emirates.”

During his visit, Minister Goyal met with Swami Brahmaviharidas, the leader of the temple, who highlighted the extraordinary journey of the temple’s construction. “When His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj envisioned this temple in 1997, no one imagined such a magnificent structure could be built here,” he said. Pramukh Swami Maharaj has overseen the construction of more than 1,200 temples worldwide.
Swami Brahmaviharidas also acknowledged the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in realizing the project. “Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and moral integrity helped forge a relationship with Abu Dhabi authorities, facilitating approvals and ensuring the project was entrusted to the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. The temple was warmly welcomed and embraced by the government,” he said.

Emphasizing the temple’s role in promoting peace, Swami Brahmaviharidas added, “In a world facing numerous challenges, this temple acts as a spiritual oasis for global unity, bringing together people of all faiths. It serves as a gathering place that inspires dialogue, understanding, and peace.”
The visit underscores the growing cultural ties between India and the UAE, highlighting shared values and mutual respect through spiritual and architectural landmarks.
