Winzo Launches World’s First Short Drama Championship

Creators to Get Global Stage and Production Deals

Mumbai: — India’s largest interactive entertainment platform, Winzo, which offers over 100 games across esports and social formats in 15 languages and boasts more than 250 million users, has announced the launch of the world’s first Global Short Drama Championship.

This pioneering initiative aims to give micro-drama creators an international platform and direct access to a global audience. Selected creators will be offered production deals, 100% sponsorships to kickstart projects, and opportunities for long-term partnerships with Winzo TV Originals. In addition to financial benefits, participants will gain visibility across Winzo’s 250 million-strong user base and recognition at the company’s flagship events.

Entries will be judged on the quality and authenticity of storytelling, while final winners will be determined based on audience engagement metrics.

Winzo co-founder Pawan Nanda said, “India’s cultural capital is its biggest strength. With Winzo, we have built a platform that began with gaming and now extends into storytelling, giving creators unique opportunities. Our vision is for Indian talent and art to lead drama on a global stage.”

Since its inception in 2018, Winzo has emerged as a leader in interactive entertainment, connecting millions of users across India, Brazil, and the US. With a portfolio of more than 100 games, the company has positioned itself as a key driver of India’s digital entertainment exports.

On August 24, 2025, Winzo took a leap beyond gaming with the launch of Winzo TV, expanding into mobile-first, local-language storytelling formats. The Short Drama Championship now aims to create the world’s largest micro-drama library, enabling creators to bring their vision to life and contribute to India’s growing cultural export story.
