T. Dilip Shares Game-Changing Fielding Advice Ahead of Asia Cup 2025

New Delhi — Indian cricket team’s fielding coach T. Dilip has underlined the importance of unwavering focus while taking high catches at the Dubai International Stadium, ahead of the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025.

In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on X, Dilip explained that the floodlight system at Dubai’s iconic stadium is unlike the traditional setup. Instead of lights placed on poles, the venue uses a dome-shaped arrangement, often referred to as a “ring of fire.”

“This ring of fire makes it extremely challenging, especially when fielders are positioned near the boundary. The biggest test is catching high balls without losing sight of them for even a fraction of a second,” Dilip emphasized.

He added that such conditions demand sharp concentration and quick reflexes, particularly in pressure situations where one dropped chance can change the course of the game.

As India prepares for its Asia Cup campaign, Dilip’s insights highlight the team’s focus on fine-tuning fielding skills to match world-class standards. With high-stakes matches ahead, the advice could prove vital for India’s chances in Dubai.
