DM Avinash Singh Inaugurates Minimal Invasive Surgery Camp at SRMS Medical College, Bareilly

Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh inaugurated a special Minimal Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopic) Camp at SRMS Medical College, organized to mark the institution’s 23rd anniversary. The camp aims to provide advanced, affordable healthcare to underprivileged patients using world-class medical technology.

During the inauguration ceremony, DM Singh cut the ceremonial ribbon and later interacted with doctors, patients, and staff. He praised the Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust for providing quality healthcare services at reasonable costs and stressed the importance of ensuring advanced medical treatments remain accessible to the economically weaker sections of society.

Accompanied by SRMS Director Aditya Murti, Medical Superintendent Dr. R.P. Singh, Principal Air Marshal (Retd.) Dr. M.S. Butola, Deputy MS Dr. C.M. Chaturvedi, and UG Dean Dr. Bindu Garg, the DM toured key facilities such as the ICU, Cath Lab, and Modular OT. He was particularly impressed by the robotic surgery setup and cancer treatment infrastructure available at the hospital.

DM Singh inquired about the services offered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, speaking with patients and their attendants about the quality and affordability of treatments. He emphasized the need to bring state-of-the-art treatments like robotic surgery and laparoscopic procedures within the reach of the common man.

The SRMS Trust officials briefed him on the hospital’s charitable initiatives, including free beds, medicines, and subsidized treatment packages. The DM expressed satisfaction and encouraged continued collaboration between the district administration and SRMS Medical College to strengthen healthcare delivery in Bareilly.
