Lucknow: Gau Seva Aayog Chairman Shyam Bihari Gupta and Bharatiya Kisan Manch and Bharatiya Gau Seva Parishad National President Devendra Tiwari and Vice President Ram Naresh Tiwari inspected the Kanha Upvan Gaushala located at Nadarganj Amausi operated by Municipal Corporation Lucknow. Cow worship was done in the cowshed on the auspicious festival of Dhanteras and cows were fed jaggery in the enclosures and Amla saplings were also planted. The minister observed the entire premises sitting on a golf cart and gave necessary instructions.
He inspected all the enclosures, where straw and bran were found as per the standard in all the troughs and green fodder is given on the basis of availability. Clean cold water was available in all the enclosures and the cleanliness system of the entire premises was found to be of high quality, he praised the efforts being made by the Municipal Corporation for the destitute cows for the arrangement of coolers in some enclosures, the health of all the cows was found to be good and it was seen that salt is also being used by mixing it in the fodder to protect them from heat. He gave instructions for expansion of sheds at some places in the Gaushala and emphasised on making the Gaushala self-reliant and took information about the sale of milk and cow dung from the Gaushala.
The Gau Seva Commission Chairman also took information about the construction of Kanha and Radha Sarovar being developed under the Amrit Yojana and also took information about the surgery of rheunotomy to remove polythene from cows and appreciated the efforts to save the lives of cows. Shyam Bihari also interacted with the children of Kanha Upvan Vidyalaya run for the children of Gaupalakas and inspired the children to imbibe cows in their lives along with the utility of Panchtatva.
The Gau Seva Commission Chairman gave instructions to collect and market cow urine as well as to connect farmers with Kanha Upvan, and to make Kanha Upvan a high-class cow tourism site, to increase coarse grain-based organic farming and discussions were held to increase the capacity of biogas. On this occasion, Animal Welfare Officer Dr. Abhinav Verma and other staff were present.
