Lucknow/ Prayagraj: In an unprecedented initiative, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department will organize a grand mega drone show at the Prayagraj Kumbh 2025, set against the majestic Triveni Sangam. This extraordinary event will showcase a unique fusion of tradition and technology, with “Make in India” drones lighting up the skies to tell the spiritual story of the Kumbh in a modern and visually stunning way.
The three-day drone show will be held on January 24, 25, and 26, with different themes selected for each day. The spiritual narrative of the Kumbh will be presented in an innovative and awe-inspiring manner, with vibrant visuals created by 2,500 drones soaring through the sky.
State Tourism and Culture Minister, Jayveer Singh, shared the details of the show, stating that the event will be divided into three major themes based on significant days. On January 24, the show will celebrate Uttar Pradesh Day; on January 25, it will honor National Tourism Day, and on January 26, the show will culminate on Republic Day.
Additionally, the drone show will depict the mythological tale of the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean), where 14 precious jewels were produced, as well as the heroic story of Lord Shiva who drank poison to save the world. The sacred “Kumbh Kalash” will also be featured, symbolizing the divine drops that mark the start of the Maha Kumbh. The show will also include the sacred “Om” chant, creating an aura of divine energy in the atmosphere.
Singh elaborated that the drone show will cover 2,000 hectares of the 4,000-hectare Mela area. The event will offer a panoramic aerial view for devotees, making the spiritual experience of the Kumbh even more magical. On Uttar Pradesh Day (January 24), the show will be free for the public to attend.
The drones will present an array of religious and cultural visuals, ensuring a one-of-a-kind experience for attendees. Tourism officials have stated that preparations for the drone show are almost complete, with the department working diligently to create a divine and magnificent atmosphere for the Kumbh. The show aims to blend ancient traditions with cutting-edge technology, giving visitors the chance to witness the beginning of the Kumbh in conjunction with the new era of India’s “Make in India” drones.
