Chennai: The only Test match between India and South Africa women’s team is being played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. India declared the first innings after scoring 603 runs. In response, South Africa’s first innings was reduced to 266 runs. India’s Sneh Rana played an important role in wrapping up South Africa’s first innings.
Sneh Rana created history by bowling lethally in the first innings against South Africa. Sneh Rana took 8 wickets for 77 runs in 25.3 overs. On the basis of this strong performance, Sneh Rana registered a big record in her name. She became the third bowler in the world to have done the feat of taking 8 wickets in an innings.

After the Indian batsmen, the Indian bowlers troubled South Africa. By the end of the second day’s play, South Africa had scored 236 runs for the loss of four wickets. In the first session of the third day, Sneh Rana’s spin worked its magic and the entire South African team was bowled out for 266 runs.
