Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party’s Lucknow Metropolitan unit held its monthly meeting at 15-Kaiserbagh. Metropolitan President Fakhir Siddiqui emphasized the need to strengthen polling stations and booths across all five assembly constituencies within the city limits in preparation for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Siddiqui urged party leaders to take charge of their respective polling stations and booths to ensure victory in the upcoming elections. He stressed that grassroots-level organization was key to electoral success.
The meeting also reviewed the ongoing PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) programs in various constituencies. While some constituencies were praised for their active participation, concerns were raised over the lack of PDA meetings in certain areas during January. Party leaders from these constituencies were directed to accelerate PDA meetings at their respective levels.
Prominent attendees included MLA Ravidas Mehrotra, former mayoral candidates Vandana Mishra and Meera Vardhan, Metropolitan General Secretary Irshad Ahmed Guddu, Metropolitan Media In-charge Gaurav Singh Yadav, former city president Mukesh Shukla, Sushil Dixit, former Metropolitan General Secretary Saurabh Yadav, former assembly candidate Pooja Shukla, State Secretary Veer Bahadur, Pradeep Kanojia, spokesperson Deepak Ranjan, Nahid Lari, council leader Kamran Beg, and Zeenat Khan, among others. A large number of party leaders and workers were also present at the meeting.
The party remains committed to strengthening its organizational structure ahead of the crucial 2027 elections.
