Society Should Step Forward to Support Athletes
Ghazipur: The Maa Santoshi Volleyball Tournament was organized in Lalanpur Madayi, Ghazipur district, where Sujit Yadav, District President of the All India Yadav Mahasabha, attended as the chief guest. The event was also graced by Executive District President Ramgyan Singh Yadav, District Panchayat Member Shiv Poojan Yadav Panchu, along with Student Leader Akhilesh Yadav, former Village Head Pyarelal Yadav, ex-serviceman Pramesh Yadav, and other committee members. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed with garlands.
The tournament witnessed remarkable performances from teams representing Diliya, Bhitari, Hardaspur, and Bhikkhepur. Addressing the players, Sujit Yadav emphasized that victories and defeats in sports should never be perceived as absolute joy or sorrow. He explained that while one team wins, the other does not truly lose but secures the second position, awaiting another opportunity to claim victory.
He further encouraged players to be aware of and benefit from government and administrative schemes for athletes. Yadav urged society to take an active role in supporting players. Executive District President Ramgyan Singh Yadav expressed gratitude to the organizers and assured that the Yadav Mahasabha would extend assistance to athletes in every village.
“Whatever equipment or support athletes need, we will provide,” he affirmed. District Panchayat Member Shiv Poojan Yadav Panchu welcomed the Mahasabha’s announcements and highlighted their continuous efforts to aid the underprivileged. He reiterated their commitment to raising awareness and fulfilling responsibilities under the leadership of Sujit Yadav.
