Lucknow: Candidates who cleared the UPPSC-2025 Main Examination received an opportunity to sharpen their interview preparation through a special mock interview programme organised by the Social Welfare Department on Wednesday.
The programme was held at Bhagidari Bhawan in Gomti Nagar, where officers associated with the Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management (UPAAM) and subject experts interacted with candidates, asked questions and assessed their preparedness for the interview stage.
Experts shared practical guidance on handling interview questions, maintaining confidence and presenting one’s personality effectively before the interview panel. The exercise also helped candidates identify areas requiring improvement and work on their shortcomings ahead of the actual interview.
Officials said the initiative was designed to provide candidates with expert guidance and a realistic interview experience without any financial burden.
Candidates from Different Backgrounds Participate
Deputy Director of the Social Welfare Department Anand Kumar Singh said candidates from various categories were eligible to participate in the free mock interviews. These included candidates trained at the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj Research and Training Institute, Bhagidari Bhawan and pre-examination training centres, as well as beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Abhyudaya Yojana and candidates from any category who had cleared the UPPSC-2025 Main Examination.
Singh said the department aims to ensure that young aspirants receive appropriate guidance at every stage of the competitive examination process. The mock interview programme was intended to help candidates improve their preparedness, confidence and overall presentation before appearing for the actual interview.
