Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom, and Textile Industries, Rakesh Sachan, conducted a comprehensive review of departmental schemes and programs at the headquarters of the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board. During the meeting, he emphasized expediting the resolution of court cases and instructed officials to ensure effective representation in pending legal matters. He also directed efforts to lift stay orders in cases where they are applicable.

Key Directives from the Minister:

  1. Review of Legal Cases:
    The Minister reviewed cases pending in courts and stressed the need for prompt action to ensure efficient legal representation. He issued strict instructions to expedite the process of vacating stay orders wherever applicable.
  2. Reinstating One-Time Settlement (OTS):
    Rakesh Sachan instructed officials to reconsider the reimplementation of the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme for recovery-related matters, aiming to provide a practical resolution for long-pending disputes.
  3. Focus on CM’s Village Industry Employment Scheme:
    He directed the preparation of updated proposals under the Mukhyamantri Gramodyog Rojgar Yojana, ensuring that financial provisions approved at the governance level are utilized to their full potential. The Minister highlighted the importance of achieving 100% expenditure of allocated funds to maximize the scheme’s benefits.
  4. Time-Bound and Transparent Implementation:
    Emphasizing the need for time-bound and transparent implementation of all schemes, the Minister urged officials to ensure that the benefits of the programs reach the maximum number of beneficiaries without delays or procedural bottlenecks.

Vision for Khadi and Village Industries:

The Minister reiterated the importance of reforms in Khadi and Village Industries, stressing that timely execution and efficient management of schemes are crucial for promoting rural entrepreneurship and employment generation.

The review meeting was attended by senior officials, including Principal Secretary Anil Kumar Sagar, Secretary Pranjal Yadav, and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ujjwal Kumar, along with other senior officers of the department.
