Kejriwal Demands Transparent Probe into Alleged Ram Temple Donation Irregularities, Launches Sharp Attack on BJP

Lucknow/Ayodhya: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday launched a strong attack on the BJP over alleged irregularities related to donations and assets associated with the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, demanding a comprehensive and independent investigation into the matter.

Addressing a press conference in Ayodhya, Kejriwal alleged that serious financial irregularities had taken place in the management of donations and offerings made by devotees. He called for strict action against those found guilty after a fair and transparent investigation.

Calls for Accountability

Kejriwal claimed that devotees across the country were seeking answers regarding the handling of donations, valuables, and offerings made at the temple. He alleged that the action taken so far was insufficient and accused authorities of protecting influential individuals while targeting lower-level functionaries.

According to Kejriwal, any investigation into the matter should be independent, transparent, and capable of identifying all those responsible, regardless of their position.

Questions Over Donation Management

The AAP leader referred to various reports and allegations concerning donations, precious metals, jewellery, and financial contributions made by devotees over the years. He argued that public confidence could only be restored through complete transparency and public disclosure of records.

Kejriwal also raised questions regarding alleged land transactions connected to the temple project and called for a detailed examination of all financial dealings linked to the institution.

Criticism of Political Leadership

During the press conference, Kejriwal accused BJP leaders of remaining silent on the controversy and alleged that the party had failed to address concerns being raised by devotees and members of the public.

He further claimed that the administration’s response had been inadequate and questioned whether those overseeing investigations could conduct an impartial inquiry.

Demand for Religious Leadership in Temple Management

Kejriwal suggested that the management structure of the temple should be reviewed and argued that greater participation of saints, religious scholars, and spiritual leaders could help strengthen public trust in temple administration.

He praised traditional religious institutions managed by saints and asserted that such models had maintained public confidence for decades.

Appeal to the Public

The former Delhi Chief Minister urged citizens to continue demanding transparency and accountability regarding religious donations and public trusts. He described the issue as one involving public faith and said that all allegations should be investigated thoroughly so that the truth can emerge.

Sanjay Singh’s Remarks

AAP Rajya Sabha MP and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Sanjay Singh also addressed the media and claimed that legal action in the matter accelerated only after Kejriwal raised the issue publicly. He alleged that developments in the case reflected growing pressure for accountability and transparency.

The leaders maintained that a credible and independent investigation was necessary to restore public confidence and ensure justice.
