Lucknow/Bhojpur: Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President and former minister, Ajay Rai, visited Bihar and met the family members of the late Bharat Bhushan Tiwari in Bilauti village of Bhojpur district. He paid tribute to the deceased and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
During his visit, Rai conveyed his condolences and assured the family that the Congress Party would continue to stand with them in their quest for justice. He said the party would support the family until justice is delivered in the case.
According to Congress leaders, Bharat Bhushan Tiwari had been actively raising issues concerning local residents and public welfare. The party alleged that he was fatally shot by Bihar Police during a recent incident. Congress representatives further claimed that subsequent inquiries revealed that no criminal case had been registered against Tiwari.
Addressing the media and party workers, Rai said that raising public concerns in a democracy should not be treated as a crime. He expressed concern over the circumstances surrounding Tiwari’s death and called for a fair, transparent, and time-bound investigation to establish the facts and ensure accountability.

The UP Congress chief emphasized that every citizen is entitled to justice and that safeguarding democratic rights is essential to the functioning of a healthy democracy. He reiterated the party’s commitment to pursuing the matter through democratic and legal means.
Offering words of comfort to the grieving family, Rai said the entire Congress family shares their sorrow and would continue to amplify their voice until justice is secured.
A large number of local Congress leaders and party workers were present during the visit and joined in paying tribute to Bharat Bhushan Tiwari and expressing support for his family.
