Kanpur: Air Force Hospital Kanpur in association with AFFWA(L) celebrated International Youth Day with an aim to motivate youth to achieve excellence in their personal life and contributes towards sustainable development.
Theme for this year’s International Youth Day was “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”.
The participants at the event were young air warrior and adolescent school children from AF and Lal Kurti Village School.
At the event Air Officer Commanding felicitated the inspirational youth icon Sarita Dwivedi, a specially abled young woman who has bagged several national and international award in arts and sports including two bronze medals at recently held World Boccia Challenge at Cairo.
Four young nursing officers Capt Tasneem Fatima, Capt Kajol Kushwaha, Lt Shivani Singh and Lt Isha Jana of Air Force Hospital, Kanpur who were part of the first ever military nursing service contingent at Republic Day parade on 26 Jan 24, were also felicitated during the event.
A Survey on internet addiction among the participants was also conducted at event. Dr. Neha Dalal, President AFFWA(Local), spoke on internet addiction and role of youth in nation building and intergenerational relationship dialogue.
She also felicitated Shalini Srivastava, Zonal Co-ordinator Heartfulness Centre Kanpur for carrying out, free of cost School HELP program & inspire teacher training program at Air Force School and Lal Kurti Village School, and also for supporting the Brighter Minds brain development program being run by AFFWA(Local).
