Lucknow: Preparations have started for the Gomti Book Festival, which is organized every year at the Gomti Riverfront Park. This time it will be held from 9 to 17 November. According to the National Book Trust, India, the organizer of the Gomti Book Festival, this will be the third edition.
Last year this literary festival was held from 9 to 17 December and this mission of NBT-India was highly appreciated even outside Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh. This time it is going to be organized on a bigger scale.
Gomti Book Festival 2024 will have more than 150 book stalls for readers, more than 100 literary, cultural programs along with musical storytelling, theater, calligraphy, caricature, personality development workshops for children on Balmanch and child orientation programs on topics like disaster management, environmental protection and cyber security will also be organized.
To make every child of the country read and to realize the dream of putting a book in every hand, Gomti Pustak Mahotsav 2024 will be organized with the theme ‘Books for All’. There will be books in Hindi, English, Urdu, Awadhi, Sanskrit and other Indian languages, there will be a separate stall of Braille books for the disabled. This time the stall of the National e-Library App will also attract the youth of Lucknow. This is a digital platform where thousands of non-educational books are available for free reading. Orientation sessions will also be organized here to make people aware of this.
