Lucknow: A grand farewell ceremony was held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Civil Hospital in honor of Chief Pharmacist Anand Prakash Arya, who is retiring after dedicated service. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Hospital Director Dr. Sunil Bharati, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Rajesh Srivastava, Medical Superintendent Dr. S. R. Singh, Senior Physician Dr. Surendra Dev, Pharmacy Officer-in-Charge Shivji Kushwaha, as well as pharmacists and other staff members from the hospital and representatives of pharmacists from neighboring districts.
During the ceremony, the Director, Chief Medical Superintendent, and Medical Superintendent expressed their best wishes for Arya’s bright and prosperous future. Former Pharmacy Officer-in-Charge S.K. Yadav praised Arya for his impeccable 36 years of service, emphasizing that the pharmacy department is the backbone of the healthcare system and Arya’s dedication serves as an inspiration to young professionals.
Shivji Kushwaha, Pharmacy Officer-in-Charge, recalled his time working with Arya, calling him a dutiful officer. Sunil Yadav, President of the Pharmacists Federation, highlighted Arya’s contribution to the civil aviation department, particularly at airports, where he managed both medical and technical services with great efficiency, earning immense popularity.
The event also featured speeches from former Pharmacy Officer-in-Charge Haridwari Lal Raj, Chief Pharmacist of Balrampur Pradyumna Singh, Subhash Srivastava, Vivek Kumar, and several other dignitaries. Provincial Vice President of the Pharmacists Federation, Shiv Karan Yadav, and Ayodhya Division Secretary Ravindra also shared their thoughts. Chief Pharmacists from Barabanki, Tilak Ram, Ravindra Singh, Daya Shankar Pandey, Ajay Kashyap, Dinesh Singh, District Secretary G.C. Dubey, Sudhir Kumar, Rajneesh Pandey, O.P. Patel, Mahendra Rawat, Anand Mishra, Dinesh Singh, Anita Awasthi, Anjum, Pratima, Alka, S.M. Singh, Shravan Kumar Chaudhary, and Vishal Rathore also spoke at the event.
Former Chief Pharmacist Ajay Mishra recited a poem to shed light on Arya’s remarkable personality. Arya, who was an active officer in the Pharmacists Association, is remembered for his approachable nature and dutiful service.
Pharmacists from the hospital, including Physiotherapist Vivek Tiwari, the Ministerial Department’s Katihar, President of the Fourth Class Employees’ Union Mahendra Pandey, Rajendra Dubey, Ravindra Yadav, Virendra Yadav, Jeevan, and others also expressed their thoughts about Arya’s contributions.
The ceremony was further graced by Arya’s wife, son, daughter, and friends, who attended to show their support. All the attending pharmacists pledged to continue playing a leading role in serving the best interests of the patients.
