Lucknow: In view of the severe heat and heatwave in UP, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi) instructed the officers and said that whether it is a village or a city, unnecessary power cuts should not be done and if there is a fault, it should be rectified immediately.
He said that for the last few days, the outbreak of severe heat wave is being seen in the state. The temperature is rising. In such a situation, strong arrangements should be made at every level for the safety of common people and livestock, wildlife. A daily bulletin of weather forecast should be issued from the level of Relief Commissioner’s Office.
Officials should attend the phone, there should be no dispute anywhere
He (CM Yogi) said that the season of intense heat and heat wave is going on. In such a situation, there should be no unnecessary power cuts anywhere, be it village or city. If needed, make arrangements to buy additional electricity. Problems like burning of transformer, falling of wire and tripping should be resolved without delay. Officers should attend the phone, there should be no dispute anywhere, if this happens then the senior officer should immediately reach the spot himself.
Drinking water should be kept at public places in all municipal bodies, rural areas. There should be provision of drinking water at various places on the main roads in the market. The cooperation of social and religious organizations should also be taken in this work. Water should be sprinkled regularly on the roads. Supply should be ensured through tankers in the areas most affected by water shortage. There should be no shortage of drinking water anywhere.

He (CM Yogi) said that there is a need to pay special attention to cleanliness. Special attention should be given to all religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura etc. In view of Bada Mangal, ensure smooth cleanliness, traffic and other arrangements in Lucknow.
Effectively implement the heat-wave action plan
Chief Minister Yogi (CM Yogi) said that it is also necessary to take care of the safety of livestock and wildlife amid the scorching heat. Heat-wave action plan should be effectively implemented in all zoological parks and sanctuaries. There should be strong arrangements to keep livestock farmers safe in the event of heat wave. There should be proper arrangement of green fodder-bran and water for livestock in cow shelters. Continue the process of vaccination of animals before the rains.
The general public should be made aware of the symptoms of heat wave and its prevention. In case of illness, everyone should be provided immediate medical facilities. People affected by heat wave should be treated immediately in hospitals and medical colleges.
The supply of drinking water in cities should be done as per the prescribed roster, all hand pumps should be kept functional, rural pipe drinking water schemes should be operated smoothly. Operating a drinking water stall at public places is a noble work, water and shade should be arranged at public places for cattle, dogs etc. The general public should be made aware to keep water and grains in small pots for birds.
