E-Lottery Process for Excise Shops Successfully Conducted in Bareilly

Bareilly: The e-lottery process for the allocation of excise shops in Bareilly for the year 2025-26 was successfully completed in a fair and transparent manner under the supervision of Principal Secretary of the Cooperative Department and Bareilly’s Nodal Officer, Saurabh Babu. The process took place at Sanjay Community Hall in the presence of District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya.

District Excise Officer Hukum Singh informed that a total of 578 excise shops in Bareilly were allocated through the e-lottery process, conducted between 10:00 AM and 11:45 AM. The district received a total of 7,581 applications for 396 country liquor shops, 160 composite shops, 16 model shops, and 6 cannabis (bhang) shops.

To ensure the smooth execution of the e-lottery process, the state government had appointed senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary of the Cooperative Department, Saurabh Babu, as the observer.

The event was also attended by Additional District Magistrate (City) Saurabh Dubey, Superintendent of Police (City) Manush Pareek, Deputy Excise Commissioner S.P. Singh, and other concerned officials.
