Prayagraj: The Kalakumbh exhibition, organized by the Department of Culture in Sector 07 of the Swachh, Surakshit, and Suvyavasthit Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, has become a significant attraction for devotees and tourists alike. Drawing an average of 9,000 to 10,000 visitors daily, the Kalakumbh showcases Uttar Pradesh’s rich art, culture, and archaeological treasures while providing an immersive experience of Mahakumbh through 3D displays. Over the past fortnight, millions of visitors have explored the Kalakumbh.

A Unique Cultural Experience:

The Kalakumbh, inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, spans approximately 200,000 square feet in the Nagvasuki area. It houses an array of exhibitions featuring cultural and artistic activities that offer visitors an unparalleled experience.

In addition to the exhibitions, a dedicated stage has been set up for daily cultural performances, including music, dance, and theatrical shows. Artists from across the country are showcasing their talents, adding vibrancy to the Mahakumbh. It also highlights the historical significance of Mahakumbh, with exhibits showcasing 150 years of archival records, administrative documents, and government reports related to the event.

The Kalakumbh features contributions from key institutions, including:

  • Uttar Pradesh State Archives: Showcasing historical documents and records.
  • Uttar Pradesh State Archaeology Directorate: Presenting archaeological treasures from the region.
  • Uttar Pradesh State Lalit Kala Academy: Displaying artistic creations reflecting the state’s rich art traditions.
  • Uttar Pradesh Institute of Folk and Tribal Culture: Offering insights into the state’s folk and tribal heritage.

Cultural Programs and Attractions:
