B.Ed Qualified Teachers Seek Exemption from Census Duty During Bridge Course Training

Gonda: A delegation of teachers in Gonda district submitted a memorandum to the District Basic Education Officer (BSA), demanding that B.Ed qualified teachers be exempted from census-related duties during the mandatory bridge course training period.

The teacher representatives stated that participation in the bridge course has been made compulsory, and assigning additional responsibilities such as Census work would significantly increase the workload on teachers. They expressed concern that the dual burden could adversely affect both academic activities and professional training commitments.

The delegation urged the District Basic Education Officer to provide relief to B.Ed qualified teachers from extra assignments like Census duties during the bridge course period, enabling them to complete their teaching and training responsibilities smoothly and effectively.

After hearing the concerns raised by the delegation, the District Basic Education Officer assured the teachers that their demands would be considered seriously. He stated that efforts would be made to ensure appropriate action in accordance with existing rules and regulations.

Prominent members present in the delegation included district president Sharad Kumar Singh, Satish Pandey, senior vice-president Mujhehna Rajjan Lal, organization minister Mujhehna Rajkumar, and several other teachers. The representatives reiterated that the organization would continue to raise issues related to teachers’ welfare and professional interests.
