Air Marshal (Retd) Dr Pawan Kapoor to deliver convocation address; medical, allied healthcare and nursing students to receive medals and awards
Bareilly: The 13th convocation ceremony of SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), SRMS Institute of Allied and Healthcare Sciences (IAHS) and SRMS College of Nursing will be held on October 24, 2026, at 10:30 am.
Aditya Murti, secretary of the Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust and director of SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences, announced that 388 students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance during the 2025–26 academic session would be awarded degrees. Meritorious students will also receive trophies, gold, silver and bronze medals, certificates and cash prizes.
The ceremony will be held at the Shatik Auditorium of SRMS College of Engineering and Technology under the chairmanship of Professor Anil Kumar Rai, vice-chancellor of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University.
Air Marshal (Retd) Dr Pawan Kapoor, vice-chancellor of Lincoln American University and technical adviser for Medical Education Abroad, will attend as the chief guest and deliver the convocation address. He has been honoured with the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal for his service.
Dev Murti, founder and chairman of the SRMS Trust, will also be present at the ceremony, during which degrees and medals will be conferred on students from medical, allied healthcare and nursing programmes.
Of the 388 graduating students, 113 are from the MBBS programme, while 78 have completed MD and MS courses. The allied and healthcare sciences category includes 118 BSc and 13 MSc students. Another 66 students from the BSc Nursing programme will receive their degrees.
The annual convocation will recognise the academic achievements of students across the three institutions and celebrate their progress in medical education, healthcare and nursing.
