AAP Distributes Relief Materials to Flood-Affected Families in Faizullaganj

Party leaders allege administrative negligence and demand urgent relief and rehabilitation measures

Lucknow: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Uttar Pradesh, distributed relief materials among flood-affected families in Lucknow’s Faizullaganj area on Friday, following directions from Rajya Sabha MP and the party’s Uttar Pradesh in-charge, Sanjay Singh.

Led by Ayodhya region president Vinay Patel and Lucknow district president Iram Rizvi, party office-bearers and workers visited waterlogging-affected settlements and distributed essential ration supplies, relief kits and daily-use items. They also interacted with affected families to assess their difficulties and assured them of continued support.

Vinay Patel said the situation in Faizullaganj remained concerning, with hundreds of families struggling amid inadequate basic facilities. Questioning the local administration’s response, he alleged that relief had not reached affected residents promptly despite the prevailing crisis.

He said AAP workers, under Sanjay Singh’s leadership, stood alongside the affected families and urged the government to intensify relief and rescue operations on a war footing.

Lucknow district president Iram Rizvi also criticised the administration, alleging that officials had failed to address the ground realities faced by residents. She said the party’s relief distribution was an effort to support families enduring prolonged waterlogging and flooding.

Rizvi demanded immediate arrangements for drainage, safe drinking water, medicines and adequate compensation for affected households. She warned that the party would launch a strong protest if the authorities failed to take prompt action to address the residents’ grievances.

Several party functionaries and workers participated in the relief drive, including Dinesh Patel, Vaibhav Prakash, Manoj Mishra, Tushar Srivastava, Surbhi, Prerna, Lalit Valmiki, Anit Rawat, Neeraj Gupta, Gyan Singh and Sudhir Patel.

The party said it would continue to raise the concerns of flood-affected residents and press the administration for timely relief and rehabilitation measures.
